Ohio High School Softball - Mechanicsburg bounces West Jefferson

Mechanicsburg Indians (Mechanicsburg, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting West Jefferson Roughriders (West Jefferson, OH), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kenton Ridge for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 27. Mechanicsburg will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Sheridan (Thornville, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, West Jefferson falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Roughriders host Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Canal Winchester lost 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH)
