The Newton Eagles baseball squad (Newton, TX), was overwhelmed 17-1 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX)

With the triumph, Huntington moves its record to 16-2 on the season. The Red Devils host Pollok Central (Pollok, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, March 28. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 3-11. Pollok Central lost 11-1 in their recent league contest against Diboll (Diboll, TX)

The Eagles now possess a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodville for a 3A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, March 28. Newton will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to Diboll (Diboll, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-10.
