In Tuesday's league game, the visiting Newton County Cougars baseball team scored a nice 12-0 win over the Leake Central Gators .
The Cougars (10-9) will now prepare for their game against Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Gators go into the 4A Region 4 game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Leake Central was overwhelmed by Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 15-2, in a league game.
