Texas High School Baseball - Taft defeats Odem

The Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Odem Owls (Odem, TX), 9-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they host Mathis for a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, March 28. Taft will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 8-0 league win over Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 5-11.

With the defeat, Odem drops to 10-7 on the year. The Owls host George West (George West, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge on Monday, March 31. The Longhorns go into the challenge with a record of 14-13. George West won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX)
