Virginia High School Baseball - Monticello holds off Waynesboro

In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Monticello Mustangs baseball team scored a close 10-6 win over the Waynesboro Little Giants.

The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Goochland nudged William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

The Little Giants now possess a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host James River for a non-league contest on Monday, March 31. Waynesboro will confront a Knights squad coming off a 21-6 non-league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.
