Louisiana High School Softball - Barbe can't get by Lafayette

The Lafayette Lions edged the visiting Barbe Buccaneers softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Lions play the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, March 27. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 10-2 league loss to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
The Buccaneers (12-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Southside (Youngsville, LA). The Sharks enter the 5A District 3 challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, Southside edged David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA), 6-5, in a non-league challenge.
