North Carolina High School Softball - Mallard Creek bested by Hough

March 25, 2025: Cornelius, NC 28031

The Hough Huskies triumphed over the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks softball squad by a count of 14-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Huskies play the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 26. Hough will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Sabres enter the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 10-4 league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC).

The Mavericks (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks enter the Queen City 3A/4A challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, West Mecklenburg was routed by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 16-0, in a league contest.
