Santiago Sharks (Corona, CA) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Paloma Valley Wildcats (Menifee, CA), 2-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Santiago improves its record to 7-8 on the year. The Sharks travel to Esperanza (Anaheim, CA) to play the Aztecs in a non-league game on Friday, March 28. The Aztecs enter the game with a record of 3-8. Esperanza lost 11-0 in their recent league game against El Modena (Orange, CA)
The Wildcats now hold a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Western Christian for a non-league game on Thursday, March 27. Paloma Valley will play a Fighting Lancers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Beckman (Irvine, CA). The Fighting Lancers record now stands at 6-8.
