The West Monroe Rebels softball team scored 14 runs and held the host Ruston Bearcats to 2 in the Rebels league win on Tuesday.

The Rebels now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pineville for a 5A District 2 battle on Thursday, March 27. West Monroe will confront a Rebels team coming off a 7-0 league win over Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 20-2.

With the loss, Ruston moves to 8-12 on the season. The Bearcats host Alexandria (Alexandria, LA) to confront the Trojans in a 5A District 2 battle on Thursday, March 27. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 19-4. Alexandria won 17-6 in their recent league battle against Neville (Monroe, LA)
