The Neshoba Central Rockets baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Kosciusko Whippets to 7 in the Rockets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rockets (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS). The Jaguars go into the 5A Region 3 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Holmes County Central was edged by Canton (Canton, MS), 17-0, in a league match.
The Whippets (9-5) will now prepare for their match against Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Trojans go into the 4A Region 4 match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, Northeast Lauderdale was edged by Quitman (Quitman, MS), 6-5, in a non-league match.
