Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Permian upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Abilene (Abilene, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 2 contest on Friday, April 1. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 1-6. Abilene lost 9-0 in their recent league contest against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX)

The Bulldogs now sport a 7-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Odessa for a 6A Region I District 2 contest on Tuesday, March 29. Midland will play a Bronchos squad coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Randall (Amarillo, TX). The Bronchos record now stands at 2-1.
