The South Lafourche Tarpons softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host A.J. Ellender Patriots to 3 in the Tarpons non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, South Lafourche improves its record to 5-12 on the year. The Tarpons travel to Loreauville (Loreauville, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, March 26. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 3-7.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) in a 4A District 7 game, on Monday, March 28. A.J. Ellender will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the game with a 9-12 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA).
