The Cherokee Indians softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Vina Red Devils to 1 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Cherokee improves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Indians travel to Waterloo (Waterloo, AL) to clash with the Cougars in a 1A Area 16 game on Tuesday, March 29. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 5-3. Waterloo lost 7-2 in their recent non-league game against Tipton-Rosemark Academy (Millington, TN)

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 26. Vina will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the game with a 7-5 record after their 5-4 league loss to East Union (Blue Springs, MS).
