Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA) and the visiting Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA), witnessed La Serna's softball squad tip Mira Costa by a count of 7-0.

The Lancers now sport a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Santa Fe for a Del Rio match on Wednesday, March 30. La Serna will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 7-6 league win over El Rancho (Pico Rivera, CA). The Chiefs record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Mira Costa moves to 5-9 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, CA) to meet the Sea Hawks in a Bay match on Thursday, March 31. The Sea Hawks go into the match with a record of 10-9. Redondo Union won 3-0 in their recent league match against Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA)
