In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Wheeler Eagles softball team scored a close 9-3 win over the New Site Royals.

Coming up next, the Eagles encounter the Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS) in a 1A Region 2 outing, on Thursday, April 7. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.

The Royals (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Blue Devils enter the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Booneville tipped Tupelo (Tupelo, MS), 11-2, in a non-league outing.
