In Saturday's non-league contest, the Newark Charter School Patriots (Newark, DE) softball team overwhelmed the host St. Georges Tech Hawks (Middletown, DE), by a margin of 14-1.
With the triumph, Newark Charter School moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Patriots travel to Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE) to play the Golden Knights in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 2. The Golden Knights come into the contest with a record of 0-2.
