The Spotsylvania Knights the visiting William Monroe Dragons softball squad by a final score of 5-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos go into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Fluvanna County nudged Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
The Dragons now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Turner Ashby for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 29. William Monroe will meet a Knights squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.
