Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge, on Wednesday, April 3. Pinecrest will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC).

The Fighting Scots now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richmond for a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 9.
