The Nelson County Governors smashed the visiting Alleghany Cougars soccer squad by a margin of 6-2 in Tuesday's non-league match.
The Governors now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Dan River for a Eastern Shore match on Friday, April 12.
With the loss, Alleghany drops to 1-3 on the season. The Cougars host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to encounter the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers match on Thursday, March 28. The Cavaliers come into the match with a record of 3-0. Carroll County won 5-0 in their recent non-league match against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA)
