Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 11-9 record. They take the field next when they host Estacado for a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Sweetwater will face a Matadors squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 7-17.

With the loss, Big Spring falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Steers host Levelland (Levelland, TX) to face the Lobos in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Friday, March 29. The Lobos enter the challenge with a record of 16-9. Levelland won 22-5 in their recent league challenge against Lake View (San Angelo, TX)
