Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Prince Edward County for a James River challenge on Thursday, March 28. Lunenburg Central will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Buckingham falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to battle the Statesmen in a James River challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Statesmen enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Randolph-Henry won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Cumberland (Cumberland, VA)
