Centerville Tigers (Centerville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX), 12-6 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they host Slocum for a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge on Monday, April 1. Centerville will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Grapeland (Grapeland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Leon falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Cougars host Oakwood (Oakwood, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 1A Region IV District 25 challenge on Thursday, March 28. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-5.
