Clinton Arrows (Clinton, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS), 20-3 in a league challenge.

The Arrows now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Tupelo for a 7A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Clinton will battle a Golden Wave squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Madison Central (Madison, MS). The Golden Wave record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, Starkville falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Germantown (Madison, MS) to battle the Mavericks in a 7A Region 2 challenge on Saturday, March 30. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. Germantown won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS)
