Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a 3A Region IV District 32 challenge on Thursday, March 28. Rio Hondo will face a Warriors squad coming off a 20-5 league loss to Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Lyford falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 3A Region IV District 32 challenge on Friday, April 5. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 11-8.
