North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 18-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lafayette Christian Academy for a 4A District 4 challenge on Wednesday, March 27. North Vermilion will battle a Knights squad coming off a 12-10 league loss to David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA). The Knights record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Westgate falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Tigers host David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA) to battle the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 challenge on Wednesday, March 27.
