West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Forrest County Agricultural for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 1.

With the loss, St. Patrick falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Fighting irish travel to St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS) to battle the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 4-11.
