The Sumner Cowboys baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Bogalusa Lumberjacks to 2 in the Cowboys league win on Wednesday.

The Cowboys now hold a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they host South Plaquemines for a non-league test on Friday, March 28. Sumner will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 16-5 non-league win over New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 7-6.

With the defeat, Bogalusa drops to 5-9 on the year. The Lumberjacks travel to Pine (Franklinton, LA) to play the Raiders in a 3A District 8 test on Tuesday, April 1. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 6-13. Pine lost 8-5 in their recent league test against Springfield (Springfield, LA)
