The Penncrest Lions baseball squad (Media, PA), was edged 6-5 in Wednesday's league contest with the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA)

With the triumph, Marple Newtown moves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Fightin' Tigers host Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic (Drexel Hill, PA) to confront the Friars/Pandas in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 29. The Friars/Pandas come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic lost 8-2 in their recent league contest against Archbishop Wood (Warminster, PA)

The Lions now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strath Haven for a Central contest on Monday, March 31. Penncrest will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Springfield (Springfield, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
