The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons to 16 in the Patriots non-league win on Wednesday.
The Patriots now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Jackson Day for a Metro Eight 1A test on Thursday, March 27. Piedmont Community Charter will battle a Mariners squad coming off a 13-6 non-league loss to Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 1-5.
The Gryphons now have a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherryville for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A match on Friday, March 28. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will battle a Ironmen squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 8-4.
