The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the host Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles (Asheboro, NC), saw West Stanly's baseball team get by Uwharrie Charter Academy by a margin of 3-2.

The Colts (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the Rocky River 2A/3A battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Forest Hills held off Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC), 12-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Eagles face the Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle, on Friday, March 28. Uwharrie Charter Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 9-2 record after their 7-0 league win over Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC).
