In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Mountain View Vikings volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the El Monte Lions.

The Vikings (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against South El Monte (South El Monte, CA). The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, South El Monte was nudged by Marshall (Pasadena, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions play the Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a Mission Valley challenge, on Friday, March 28. El Monte will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Rosemead (Rosemead, CA).
