Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Owen advances its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warhorses host Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Monday, March 31. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 2-4. Mountain Heritage lost 5-3 in their recent league test against Madison (Marshall, NC)

The Vikings now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host North Buncombe for a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. Avery County will clash with a Black Hawks team coming off a 9-0 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 4-4.
