The West Mesa Mustangs softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Highland Hornets to 2 in the Mustangs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sandia for a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. West Mesa will encounter a Matadors team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Highland moves to 2-2 on the season. The Hornets host Belen (Belen, NM) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 3. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 2-2.
