North Carolina High School Softball - Union Pines bounces Lee County

March 26, 2025: Sanford, NC 27330

In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Union Pines Vikings softball team scored a tight 10-5 win over the Lee County Yellow Jackets.

The Vikings (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Western Harnett nipped Overhills (Spring Lake, NC), 10-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets battle the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A match, on Tuesday, April 1. Lee County will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Bucks come into the match with a 10-4 record after their 19-0 league loss to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC).
