The Oakmont Vikings overwhelmed the visiting Marysville Indians softball squad by a count of 8-2 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Colfax Falcons (Colfax, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League challenge, on Thursday, March 27. Oakmont will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Falcons go into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 21-1 league loss to Wheatland (Wheatland, CA).

The Indians (2-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Wheatland (Wheatland, CA). The Pirates go into the Pioneer Valley League challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Wheatland held off Colfax (Colfax, CA), 21-1, in a league challenge.
