The Sam Houston Broncos softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting St. Amant Gators to 1 in the Broncos non-league win on Wednesday.

The Broncos now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carencro for a 5A District 3 battle on Thursday, March 27. Sam Houston will confront a Bears team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Bears record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, St. Amant moves to 17-6 on the season. The Gators host Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to confront the Griffins in a 5A District 5 battle on Saturday, March 29. The Griffins come into the battle with a record of 10-9. Dutchtown won 5-4 in their recent league battle against Live Oak (Watson, LA)
