West Virginia High School Softball - University sneaks past Wheeling Central Catholic

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host University Hawks softball team scored a tight 3-2 win over the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights.
The Hawks (4-0) will now prepare for their match against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV). The Monarchs come into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, John Marshall nipped Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV), 2-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Maroon Knights battle the Toronto Red Knights (Toronto, OH) in a Ohio Valley Athletic AA match, on Friday, March 28. Wheeling Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Red Knights come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 13-3 league win over Wellsville (Wellsville, OH).
