The Plainfield Cardinals the host Orange Tornadoes baseball team by a count of 9-4 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cardinals now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Rahway for a UCC - Valley outing on Tuesday, March 31.
The Tornadoes (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Hillside (Hillside, NJ). The Comets enter the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Hillside nipped University (Newark, NJ), 9-3, in a non-league challenge.
