The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Hillsdale Falcons (Jeromesville, OH) and the host Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), saw Hillsdale's softball squad beat Mapleton by a score of 11-3.

With the triumph, Hillsdale improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Falcons travel to Triway (Wooster, OH) to face the Titans in a non-league contest on Monday, March 30. The Titans enter the contest with a record of 1-0.

The Mounties now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Brunswick for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 2.
