North Carolina High School Baseball - Mitchell loses to Brevard

The Brevard Blue Devils crushed the host Mitchell Mountaineers baseball team by a tally of 13-2 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Blue Devils now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rutherford for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout on Tuesday, March 28. Brevard will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 7-4 league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-2.

Next, the Mountaineers face the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A bout, on Thursday, March 30. Mitchell will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Warhorses enter the bout with a 1-7 record after their 11-7 non-league loss to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
