In Monday's non-league contest, the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) softball team held off the visiting Baker Hornets (Mobile, AL), by a margin of 8-7.
With the triumph, Saraland moves its record to 8-7 on the year. The Spartans travel to Daphne (Daphne, AL) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 19. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 20-6.
In their next game, the Hornets play the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints (Mobile, AL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, March 29. Baker will attempt to move on its 13-12 season record. The Saints come into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS).
