Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Rockets now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Rankin for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Neshoba Central will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 15-1.
In their next game, the Warriors clash with the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) in a 4A Region 4 game, on Tuesday, March 28. Choctaw Central will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 15-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS).
