Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA), 11-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mandeville for a 5A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Fontainebleau will face a Skippers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Doyle (Livingston, LA). The Skippers record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Sumner falls to 14-12 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA) to face the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 14-3. Pope John Paul II won 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA)
