Wartburg Central Bulldogs (Wartburg, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Sunbright Tigers (Sunbright, TN), 13-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coalfield for a 1A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Wartburg Central will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Oakdale (Oakdale, TN). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Sunbright falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Oliver Springs (Oliver Springs, TN) to battle the Bobcats in a 1A District 3 challenge on Thursday, March 30. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. Oliver Springs won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Oneida (Oneida, TN)
