North Carolina High School Baseball - Avery County loses to Draughn

March 27, 2024: Newland, NC 28657

The Avery County Vikings baseball team (Newland, NC), was overwhelmed 13-0 in Wednesday's league outing with the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC)

The Wildcats now hold a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Burke for a non-league outing on Monday, April 1. Draughn will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-5.

Next, the Vikings confront the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, TN) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, March 28. Avery County will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record.
