In Wednesday's non-league game, the host McAuley Catholic Warriors baseball team scored a tight 7-6 victory over the Northeast Vernon County Knights.
The Warriors (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Wheaton (Wheaton, MO). The Bulldogs go into the Class 1 District 5 game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Wheaton was edged by Miller (Miller, MO), 5-4, in a non-league game.
The Knights (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Rich Hill (Rich Hill, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
