Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Maple Leafs now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rock Falls for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Geneseo will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Forreston (Forreston, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Alleman falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Moline (Moline, IL) to battle the Maroons in a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Maroons enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Moline lost 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL)
