California High School Softball - Bassett holds off Garey

Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Bassett Olympians (La Puente, CA) and the visiting Garey Vikings (Pomona, CA), witnessed Bassett's softball squad tip Garey by a count of 19-17.

The Olympians now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pomona for a Miramonte match on Friday, March 29. Bassett will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 26-0 league loss to Ganesha (Pomona, CA). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Garey moves to 4-11 on the season. The Vikings host Edgewood (West Covina, CA) to meet the Lions in a Miramonte match on Friday, March 29. The Lions go into the match with a record of 2-2.
