Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Bland Tigers (Merit, TX) and the visiting North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX), witnessed Bland's softball squad tip North Hopkins by a count of 6-1.

The Tigers now sport a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Cooper for a 2A Region II District 16 match on Thursday, March 28. Bland will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-9 league win over Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, North Hopkins moves to 10-4 on the season. The Panthers host Cumby (Cumby, TX) to meet the Trojans in a 2A Region II District 16 match on Thursday, March 28. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 1-14. Cumby lost 21-10 in their recent league match against Bland (Merit, TX)
