The University Hawks softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Bridgeport Indians to 3 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, University improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Hawks travel to South Range (Canfield, OH) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league game on Monday, April 1. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 2-0. South Range won 13-3 in their recent non-league game against Jefferson Area (Jefferson, OH)

In their next game, the Indians clash with the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) in a Big Ten game, on Thursday, March 28. Bridgeport will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Huskies come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 16-5 league win over Elkins (Elkins, WV).
